Effects will not render

Ok Vegas users, Here is the problem..

I am doing a video in which I am using video from a Mini DV..
All shot at standard TV 4:3

I am using several layers of video, building it out as a News Media Broadcast..

I am rendering it at Widscreen TV 720-480

No matter what I render in, ..My effects will not play, or play oddly.

Am I missing something in my project set up..

This is a first....

Looking for answers...

Do you have Bypass All Effects enabled? It would sure sound like it.

No, I can see the effects in preveiw.....

When I render uncompressed AVI..the effects work..It Pixelan effects, perhaps they are faulty..I can do a work around but it mean rrendering the MPEG files from avi file.. Two steps, both long renders. This sucks..
