Elminating WMP9 pop up when plugging camera into firewire

Everytime that I connect my camcorder onto the firewire a pop up message from Windows media player 9 that asks what I would like to do. I have the do nothing box checked, along with the always do the same thing box checked. I'm running Windows XP. It continues to happen.

Any ideas as to how to stop this happening?

Follow the procedures outlined here to get rid of that annoying autoplay. Worked for me!

You can go into your control panel and disable autoplay, or you can do it via the registry, but be verrry careful if you don't know what you are doing.
