Emitting static when opening ANY Magix software

Foster-Meadows wrote on 3/10/2022, 4:34 PM

Opening any software from Magix results in my computer emitting sharp static when any sound would be made, even after closing the application. Resetting my computer fixes the audio problem until I again start up any Magix software. I purchased a Humble Bundle some months ago with Sound Forge, Acid Studio and a few others. The redemption of the apps was directly through the Magix website from there. After trying many things, I deleted all of the apps from my computer and called it a loss.

I just today bought VEGAS 19 Edit through Steam any am having the same issue. Honestly with all that I had tried to fix the initial problem I wouldn't have purchased the software if I had known first it was Magix software. Seeing as I nabbed it for just over $100 on a decent sale I really would like to make it work this time.

Appreciate your time. I tried resetting as well as uninstalling and reinstalling. Unfortunately each time I was met with the same problem

Is your audio going through an on-board sound card (i.e. built-in to the motherboard), or is a sound card installed in a PCIe slot, or is it going through an audio interface maybe connected to your computer by USB? And whichever it is, has the latest audio driver for that device been installed?

Besides MAGIX products, do you have an other audio apps/programs installed and if so which one/s? Also, are there any codec packs installed besides those that natively install with apps/programs? Over the years on the forum, those 'extra' codec packs have sometimes been found to be the cause of a variety of problems.

And have you ever had Sound Forge Audio Studio installed? If yes, it's low latency driver has been known to cause audio problems, but mainly with mp3. Thank you!!! This fixed my issue. You're a lifesaver, my friend! (Specifically the deletion of the Sound Forge Low Latency driver)
