Short answer is: "You can't"
CSS and Macrovision flags must be inserted by a replicator. You can't insert these flags yourself due to the fields that they occupy on a DVD. You can use AC3 audio, which is beyond the ability of people who aren't into the whole hacking thing to copy. But anyone with a little savvy and a willingness to be dishonest will be capable of copying your work.

If you find a way to do it though, you'll be a billionaire :)

You can't trust your sister not to pirate the work you did for her own wedding? Wow.

Tell everyone they are copy protected, take orders in advance, and send them all out at once. There's a non-technical way to hopefully reduce copying.

good idea... eg tell everyone that you're giving a great deal, but only if they order by (August 31st) or whenever ... tell them all orders will be shipped out at once and you WILL NOT have any others available for duplication after that time.

the limited time offer/scarcity approach sells.

I was just looking at the features for Ulead's DVD workshop and one of those is Macrovision, CSS encryption . I'm not sure what and how, but is it that you could add the encryption in DVD Workshop? Someone correct me here if I'm misunderstanding it. Spot?

CSS is only available if you write a DLT (according to the ULEAD manual). So all they are doing is writing information on the tape that tells the replication facility that they need to encrypt the data stream.
