Enshrining product installation standards for pros

Ok, in this thread I want people to propose installation standards that should be enshrined within Vegas for every single release. These are standards that ensure smooth transition from previous versions, and allow the professional user to operate the software just like the previous release, but with added features.

This is my contribution:

1) An installation of a new major version of Vegas (i.e. a numbered version) should be an entirely fresh installation to a new directory, allowing the previous version's) so it may be run in parallel for legacy and ease of transition purposes.

2) The installer should provide a "Migration Wizard" that offers the opportunity to choose which groups of settings and presets you wish to port across to the new installation. This would include all preferences, track and event presets, FX presets, project presets and all other configurable parts of the application.

3) The installer produces a full log of all operations carried out during the installation process.

Anybody have any others?
