Seen it in PC World for £50 this week end. The ink carts are are separate for the colours and look about £10 each.

This makes it very ODD at as there are about 6 ink cartridges in the machine that should make it £60 at least for the printer, plus the cost of the printer.
No doubt the ink has only a few drops in it and they hope to make all the dosh from the sales if the ink.

Also it loads from the front for the CD./DVD printer, as opposed to my 900 which loads from the back and so has never been used, as there is no room in the back.

Does any one how many prints you get from the ink?

The latest update has many CD/DVD printer templates. Although it's not that much better than the "Print CD" software I use it instead.

Nice one Cheemie! - These are the real questions I should have been asking:

1 - How much ink for 100 dvds/cds?

2 - How much ink to start with?

3 - Ink repalcement <> Buying another printet! ? !? ?!

I suppose, the ink replacement cartridge "Cartel" we are all caught up in aint gonna diosappear - I think it is ooutrageous anyway - it's gonna be about whether I wont to look good for my tiny business OR stick with paper . . . If I get, what, 50 dvds from 1xset of cartridges, that'a gotta be . .what .. roughly £1 for printing? . . . Small price for doing say a £500 > £2000 gig - yeah? - It comes down to : "Do I want it - or not?" and then swallow the obvious "over-pricing" for the replacement cartridges . ..

I did 100 DVD's on about 1/4 of ink from all 6 carts. I turned the brightness down one notch when printing (couldn't see a difference but uses less ink).

good info?

I'm not sure if that is a question or statement but I use this template.

Read this before you consider going with a new HP printer:

from InfoWorld:

Ink capacitated: One member of the Cringe crew tells me he tried to print a file on his HP cp1700 but the printer stubbornly refused, telling him his color ink cartridges had passed their expiration dates. This despite the fact that a) he wasn’t trying to print in color and b) his black ink cartridge had plenty of shelf life left. HP claims using old ink could damage its printers. Of course, it would be churlish of me to suggest that this policy could have anything to do with the company wanting to sell more cartridges. And we all know I’m never churlish.

Actually, I was referring to the Epson R200, which I did order. I hope it does as well as everyone says!
