Error 0x80131604 (message missing)

I am trying to create a Blu-Ray disk. When I attempt to create the .iso file to burn from I am continually getting the following error:
Warning: An error occurred while writing a file.
Error 0x80131604 (message missing)

The project that I am trying to complete was rendered out of Vegas and I have separate audio and video files.

This is happening on three separate projects that I am working with. I have tried to put the data to a local disk and to an external disk. I am running Windows 64-bit, Architect Pro 5.2 (build 124). Has anyone else run into this problem before?

Were you able to resolve this? If so what was the solution?

I am having the same issue running under Windows 64 bit SP1 with Architect Pro 5.2 (build 124).

I also tried directly burning in Vegas pro 10 where I get a "failed to write an IPC port pipe is being closed" error message from Vegas pro 10 and a Windows 7 mesage BDMUX server has stopped working.

If you Google that error, it appears to be pretty widespread. But, what looks like a commonality is the .net installation.

Look at this: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/908077

ARRGH! This problem has been plaguing me for days now. Running Windows 7 here and getting exactly the same problem under the same scenario. Did reinstalling .NET 2.0 solve this for you?

Never mind; it's impossible to install .NET 2.0 on a Windows 7 workstation (because .NET 3.5 is already installed and (in theory) .NET 2.0 shouldn't need to be installed separately).

This is driving me batty. Is there anything that can be done to resolve this? Thanks.

Not true.

Normally, it's safe to assume that version 2 replaces version 1, and that version 3 replaces both 1 and 2. We assume that each later version includes everything in the prior versions, so that the prior versions are no longer necessary.

The .NET framework isn't "normal". For example, software that requires .NET version 1 might not work if only version 2 is installed. While most software upgrades replace the previous versions, .NET framework installations do not.

Let me rephrase: Windows 7 won't let you install the .NET 2.0 framework because .NET 3.5 is already installed.

In any event, it doesn't matter. I went for the nuclear option and reinstalled Windows 7, and now DVDA 5.2 creates *.iso files from muxed *.m2v and *.ac3 files without a glitch. I have no idea what the conflict was, but I was running Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 and .NET 4.0 on this workstation before the end of the world, so maybe something in that program or framework was the culprit.

I just couldn't get the Pioneer burner to work. I gave up. I looked on Microsoft Windows 7 compatibility list and saw an ASUS BW-12B1LT Blu Ray Writer was listed. I installed this and now everything works fine. No issues at all.
