ERROR: A necessary function has not been ...

I have ran into an issue with Vegas Pro 8.0 and 8.1 (x64).

I don't get this error when the media file is an AVI file, but when it is a M2T file. When I right click on the audio portion of the clip in the timeline and choose "Open copy in audio editor", I get this message:

In Vegas 8.0:
An error occurred during the current operation.
A necessary function has not been implemented.

In Vegas 8.1:
No error message, but when the wav file is returned from editing, it is out of sync with the video. It's not the editor that's doing it, because when the editor comes up, I just close it (ie: not saving the file), and the wav file is as I said earlier ... out of sync in Vegas ... or it may be ... squished?.

I have un-installed and re-installed all my Sony apps, but it still does it. I have Vegas 6 installed as well, and the process works flawlessly! By the way, I am using iZotope RX as my audio cleanup app).

Any help would help. Thank you for your time.

I can confirm this problem. Having it fixed would be really nice, as for now the only workaround seems to be render the section as wav, edit this one an replace manually which makes audio processing taking more than 3 times more time than with this function working.
