If you code 0x80070002 in the forum's search field, you will find that there are only 5 other mentions of this error code on the forum over the last 14 years - None appears to have resulted in a resolution to that error code.

The only reply to the post from 2012 was:

Try to google "windows 0x80070002" and you will see some 254.000 results as this is a often seen Windows problem (and not a Vegas problem)

Indeed, a quick Google search today shows that this error is mostly associated with failed Windows Updates. See this post: ... and these from Microsoft: ... and ... ... the latter of which goes back to 2006. There are lots and lots of other articles about this error code via a Google/Bing search and some are YouTube videos. Hopefully, you can find something online that will assist.
