Where did you buy it from as Magix only sell latest version which is V23.

(Intel 3rd gen i5@4.1GHz, 32GB RAM, SSD, 1080Ti GPU, Windows 10) Not now used with Vegas.

13th gen i913900K - water cooled, 96GB RAM, 4TB M2 drive, 4TB games SSD, 2TB video SSD, GPU RTX 4080 Super, Windows 11 pro

I bought the software from SoftwareCW

If you haven't you should create an account with Magix using the same e-mail address (exactly) you used to register V18 initially. When you have a Magix account you should be able to add V18 to the account (if it is not already there from the initial registration). Normally your Magix account holds the information on your purchase ie download link and serial number. Is the only account you have is the CW one? Vegas links the serial number to your e-mail address so if you try and input a different e-mail or a slightly miss spelt e-mail (a common mistake is getting a space added at the beginning of the e-mail) you will get error 24.

I already had an account on Magix with the correct email

If you have a Magix account, log into it, My Products, and look for VP18 and download it.

It does not show up on my products list but when i go to register it says my license is already being used. This VERY FUSTRAIGHTING because there's no direct contact to Magix's customer support. and I'm getting silence from the company i bought the software from.

@RON-HAYDEN I would hope that SoftwareCW is not selling the same licenses to more than one individual or something like that.... You should not be getting silence from them.

Here is the link for Vegas support: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/support/

I went to that site, SoftwareCW, and there appears to be several discrepancies in on the VP18 webpage.

First, we've always been able to install VP18 on 2 computers. They are charging a "discounted" rate for a second computer install. Even my original Humble Bundle for VP14 Edit (for $25 back then) allows installation for 2 computers.

Also, support for VP18 ended when VP19 was released. We are now on VP23. The webpage says there is 1 year support from Magix, and that they are an authorized reseller for Magix.

All this is suspect for me, but I really, really hope that I am wrong on this.

I've been to the Vegas support link and have already done everything that it suggests. still have the problem. It sure would be nice to talk to someone directly at Magix. This very crappy customer support I'm getting both companies..

Reyfox wrote on 10/12/2025, 10:28 AM

If you paid for this on a credit card, you can dispute the payment.

I understand your frustration. You pay for something, and you expect to have it. Reading the 1star reviews of SoftwareCW in Trusted Reviews, it seems that your issue is fairly common.

Again, I hope this is fixed much sooner rather than later.

@RON-HAYDEN I wonder if the problem is an email address mismatch as suggested by andyrpsmith earlier.

With your Magix account are you using the same email address as you use for this forum?

RON-HAYDEN wrote on 10/12/2025, 9:05 PM

Eric it's not I have an email already registered with Magix which is what I used.

EricLNZ wrote on 10/12/2025, 9:43 PM

Try your forum email in case there's a Magix account using that.
