I don't know if it's my HP7200i or if it's CDA that is
messing up, but can someone help me...give me some advice.
I started burning CDs since last week. Everything was
working FINE...I made like 15 copies of a CD and then
suddenly I started encountering problems.
my first problem: it would start burning OK, and then
suddenly the RED light (the one that indicates that the CDR
is burning) would turn off. But my HDD would KEEP spinning
and instead of stopping the process and popping up an error
message it would continue 2 spin my HDD and act as if it was
burning ok. But what I noticed was that CDA STOPPED
increasing the burn %...in other words, CDA knew that it had
stopped burning, so it was not indicating that it was still
burning. So from there, I clicked CANCEL and it said that
it was cancelling the process, BUT it would continue 2 spin
my HDD. The only way out of this was 2 manually shut off
the computer and reboot.
So I read OPTIMIZING CDA in the HELP section and I did
everything that was mentioned (defrag HDD, disable
auto-insert, disconect LAN).
I tried it AGAIN and something different happened.
this time I got the error message:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A medium error occurred.
I then shut off the computer and retried it...
the burn was going OK, it got to 20% and then suddenly it
stopped and gave me this error:
Can ANYONE give me some tips...anyone encountered similar
problems?
THANKS A LOT!
