OK!
I downloaded the Vegas 5.0b update and I Upgrade Vegas 5.0a to 5.0b.

Still having problems Network Rendering:

I get this Error Message:

Error 0x80131600:

System.ApplicationException: Valid serial number not found.
at Sony.Vegas.NetRender.NetRenderFSM.HandleFailure(Exception e)
at Sony.Vegas.NetRender.NetRenderFSM.MessageReceived(XmlElement cmdElt)
at Sony.Vegas.Vegas.HandleXmlMessage(String msg)

What Is This ???
How can I fix this?

"System.ApplicationException: Valid serial number not found."

Vegas® 5
Please Note: This trial version will allow you to use all product features, except for export to certain formats that require third-party licensing (i.e. MPEG, MP3, and AC-3) and network rendering.

Hope this answers your question.

OK
Here is the whole story:

I had Vegas 5.0a trial on my laptop and desktop since yesterday.
I keep trying to install both on my Desktop and Laptop the Full Version of Vegas 5.0a (after unninstalling the trial version):

On my Desktop I want to Install the full version - NO PROBLEM
On my Laptop the Render-only version - QUESTION/PROBLEM:

After choosing installing the Network Render-only, the setup asks me to type the Network Client License.

I typed the Vegas 5.0a serial and the serial from the Desktop's Network Render - NO LUCK.....

On the Sony Vegas-Video Forum, someone told me to Install Vegas 5.0b because he told me that this 5.0b version does not require an Full version for one computer and an render-only version on laptop. He told me that if I install full version on both desktop and laptop, I will not have Network-Rendering problems.

But I still Have:

I downloaded the 5.0b "update" from Sony's site, Upgrade my FULL VERSION of Vegas 5.0a to 5.0b, both on my desktop and laptop.

The new problem:

I get this Error Messag:

System.ApplicationException: Valid serial number not found.
at Sony.Vegas.NetRender.NetRenderFSM.HandleFailure(Exception e)
at Sony.Vegas.NetRender.NetRenderFSM.MessageReceived(XmlElement cmdElt)
at Sony.Vegas.Vegas.HandleXmlMessage(String msg)

This means that:

The full version of Vegas 5.0a became an thial version of 5.0b after UPGRADING it.

I don't get it: An upgrade makes an full version into a demo version??????????

Please open my eyes.......
