This is actually very frustrating. I was able to install Sony vegas with no problem years back on my old Toshiba laptop.
I now have an AlienWare Laptop with much better specs but now that i try to install Sony Vegas i get this weird error.
Error 2147163964
sfppack1_x64 .dll failed to register
I looked everywhere online for solutions but nothing seems to work.
What do i do?

This did not solve my problem but i did try it.
I managed to figure out a solution at least for me. Annoying that a software that costs hundreds of dollars has no many issues in installing.
What solved my problem was to
Uninstall ALL "Microsoft Visual" files from control panel.
I then downloaded this software "Visual C++ Runtime Installer (All-In-One) v56"
It installs all the files without you needing to go in and do it manually.
IT was quick and it did it in under a minute.
Restart computer
After i did this i was finally able to install Sony Vegas
Took me whole day to finally figure this crap out!

Now as to 'Microsoft Visual', what application you think that need this?
Speaking of Microsoft Visual, is it also related to this Visual Studio applications?
