Error on startup of Vegas Pro Suite 23

I just purchased Vegas Pro Suite 23, and although there were no errors on install, it will not start. It errors at "Creating Video Plug-in factory" with the following:

Application Name:    VEGAS Pro
Application Version: Version 23.0 (Build 302)
Problem:             Unmanaged Exception (0xc0000005)
Fault Module:        C:\Program Files\Common Files\OFX\Plugins\BCC_DFT\BCC+.ofx.bundle\Contents\Win64\BCC+.ofx
Fault Address:       0x0000000080876FB9
Fault Offset:         0x00000000006C6FB9

Requested help from Magix support and have not gotten a response. It was a lot of money for a program that won't even start.

The Fault Module is given as being:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\OFX\Plugins\BCC_DFT\BCC+.ofx.bundle\Contents\Win64\BCC+.ofx

... so this must be the cause of VP23's opening stalling at 'creating video plug-in factory'.

This folder destination is significantly different to my BorisFX BCC OFX installation (the just released BCC 2026) which is:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\OFX\Plugins\BorisFX\Continuum\BCC_OFX.ofx bundle\Contents\Win64\BCC_OFX.ofx

... as well as

C:\Program Files\Common Files\OFX\Plugins\BorisFX\Continuum\BCC_OFX_3DObjects.ofx.bundle\Contents\Win64\BCC_OFX_3DObjects.ofx

... and ...

C:\Program Files\Common Files\OFX\Plugins\BorisFX\Continuum\BCCPlus\BCC+.ofx.bundle\Contents\Win64\BCC+.ofx

I've had BCC (Complete) installed and regularly updated on this computer for 5 years so BCC version 2026 is not a fresh/clean install. As you can see, there is not a folder named BCC_DFT ... and I have no idea what 'DFT' might mean.

Do you have the full BCC Suite installed or just a Unit or Filter? And which BCC version?

One approach you could take it is to uninstall BCC and then delete the BCC_DFT path and see if Vegas Pro 23 then opens. If it does, re-install BCC and see if the opening problem returns.

One thing to note however, according to BorisFX' Q&As re Vegas Pro:

Only one version of Boris FX Continuum plugins can be installed for VEGAS Pro at any one time. So, if you have an older version of VEGAS with legacy Continuum plugins installed, these will be replaced with the newer version of Continuum that ships with the current version of VEGAS Pro. We highly recommend uninstalling any existing Boris FX plugins previously installed on your system to avoid problems. To do this, right-click the Start button and click Control Panel. Go to Programs and Features (if your Control Panel is in Category view, go to Uninstall a Program). Find Boris FX Continuum, click to select it, and then click Uninstall.

However, if you want to keep your older Boris FX plugins, then you do not install these current products as they will overwrite any older plugins.

... just in case you have BCC Filters and/or Units from different BCC versions installed.

Uninstall Boris Continuum Complete, then try again to open up Vegas Pro.... If it opens, reinstall BCC, then immediately restart the computer.
