When I right click and coose Apply Non-Real-Time Event FX and choose an effect like chorus, the dialog box pops up and all is good until I hit the preview play button, it then gives "An error occured during the current operation. An Exeption has occured. when I go to details this is what it says:

I get that a lot

cursing the PC and restarting the program sometimes works, I get these at random, identical circumstances and still different results

OK...this is really a pain.

It also does this in Sound Forge...says it encountered an error and needs to close. At first I thought it might be a Service Pack 2 issue....wiped my drive and reinstalled with no SP2 and still an issue. When either Vegas or SF crash with this they both mention sfppack1.dll. When I Googled sfppack1.dll I found nothing but references to peoples machines crashing. Any ideas?

Try reinstalling Vegas. sfppack.dll is a shared audio plugin package.
Might be corrupt?

Reinstalled, and as I said, also reinstalled Windows from scratch including Vegas...still no dice. Thanks though guys.

I just tried this, all ok. To help us repro:

What is your sound card, driver version, and device type (asio etc), and what are your project settings?

did you format before re-installing?
dwr wrote on 11/25/2004, 9:19 PM
yep. deleted the partition, recreated and formated NTFS. Twice now, actually.

Much appreciated.
