i get this error when trying to render to: Windows Media Video V8 (.wmv)

An error occurred while creating the media file video1.wmv. Error 0xc00d0bc2(message missing)

has anyone else had this problem- i tried re-installing but it is still the same

system:
win xp pro sp1
asus p4pe mobo
P4 3.06
1 gig ddr 333
matrox parhelia
Creamware Scope/SP
120 gig ibm deskstars
