It's a mat you put your drink on. The metaphor refers to the possible use of a DVD that won't play properly.

"whats a coaster?"

Oh, the simple things that make me feel old.

To Krisk9k
You have indeed made your process much harder than it should be. One thing to start with is the length of your total program. As stated before a DVD burn should be way under 4.2 gig and I mean to say way under. Your 62 minute program is asking for trouble.
You should aim for a burn bits on disk to sum up a total of about 3.7 gig with AC-3 audio as the program audio format.

In Vegas Pro select to render your audio and video streams with about only 30% of your timeline selected and render that as suggested before and make a new sample DVD of just that much of your program. And don't stop testing on 2 set-top players - take your burn into Best Buy and test on some of their newer sale machines.

Thanks again to everyone who have been taking the time to help me out.

Where can I change the burn rate? As posted by Steve Mann

It's in the Burn Menu - the last step before you burn the disc:

Gottcha, now my computer must be lame, I only have the option for 2x and 4x. Do I still want to use 2x as my speed?

It may not be the computer.
A DVD burning program, like DVDA, Nero, etc, reads the DVD Identifier from the disc hub. (It looks like a circular bar-code). This disc ID code tells the driver firmware who made the disc (very often not the name on the box). The dvd burner driver will then look up the burn parameters from a lookup table in the driver software.

If the box says, "12-X" for example, and the options you are given are much less or much more, then the disc ID is not recognized and the driver falls back to some default parameters - usually not the best ones for that disc. If this is what's happening, then the first thing to do is to update the DVD burner firmware and driver software. If that doesn't fix it, then seriously consider getting more current burner hardware. Or try another disc made by a different manufacturer.

Again, the blank disc brand name on the package means almost nothing. Apple is a great brand, but they do not make their own discs, instead outsourcing to a company like Mitsubishi Chemicals. Common companies like Memorex, Maxell and Imation all outsource to media vendors. Mitsubishi also makes the discs for Verbatim, etc.

It is the media ID that is important, as it reveals the disc manufacturer. Unfortunately, this is not written on packaging or anywhere else. Companies want consumers to be oblivious to this sort of behind-the-scenes information.

I recommend that you use the freeware "DVD Identifier" to read the media ID to learn who *really* made the discs in your box:

i don't know if you ever solved your problems, but there seems to be an upgrade that states it fixes the AC3 problem . Not sure if it fixes the unsupported file issue. I had the SAME problem and no answer as to why. I ahve neen using Architect and Vegas since 2007. I recently upgraded to Vegas 11 and Arch 5.0. I could NOT burn a DVD when i never had problems before. As a last resort, I tried my old version of Architect 4.5 and it worked perfectly. I Just saw the upgrade to 5.0 and downloaded but have not yet tried burning since i just finished the project in 4.5. I hope this helps. I am very frustrated in the lack of support Sony has for their products. The ad for it said " free lifetime support". not so much. $150 for a plan to answer some basic questions. that almost 3x what i paid for the software.
