European Video

I have some DV footage shot with a European Sony PC-1. I can play it in my PC-1, but not on my TV, or into Vegas for writing. It continually flip frames. Can anyone tell me how to change the setting in Vegas so I can rend this to a format my television will recognize?

The European one is PAL. Your TV etc. use NTSC.
You should be able to capture the DV using Vegas if you are using a normal firewire card.

Except the tape will only play in a PAL camera or VCR.

I'm surprised it would play at all in your camera, I'm assuming it's NTSC?

Once you get the footage into VV it can do a good job of standards conversion.
