Event pan/Crop Problem! NEEDS A MIRACLE!

In my Sony Vegas 8.0, I cannot use masks in pan/crop.
Normally, you would put a clip on the track, click the ep/c button, check the "mask" check box under position, click a button that looks like a fountain pen, and trace the object you want to mask. Yet, on my program (which I bought at office depot), i add a clip, click the ep/c button, and then there is NO MASK CHECK BOX under position, and no fountain-pen button. Can anybody relate and suggest a solution?!? I am getting very frustrated, I don't know what to do! I don't want to use the ones in the video effects though! Is this feature just not there on Sony Vegas Platinum 8.0??
HEELLLPPPPP!

I don't think you can buy Vegas Pro at Office Depot, so it sounds like you downgraded, from Vegas Pro to Vegas Basic or Platinum.

Vegas Pro has unlimited tracks, and the other two Vegas' have 4 Video & 4 Audio tracks.

Bezier masking is only available in Vegas Pro, not Platinum Edition.
