What, exactly, are you trying to do? If you have to pull that far out, perhaps you're using the wrong tool and Track Motion would be more effective.

I'm trying to design a multi screen presentation. In a proposal I want to show a 2 screen aspect ratio...a moving story board if you will . I'm setting up the video with a 800px x 300px to show the aspect ration of the two screens (or close to it). I want the have a photo slide from off screen right all the way across to off screen right.

Hit the icon that looks like two rectangles in the track header. Use that. If it's not there, then I've forgotten 3.0 already.

Vegas 3 has Track Motion. I'll bet it does what you want more easily than Pan/Crop (in this case). They both have their own unique uses although their functionality overlaps in many respects.
