Thanks Randall.

My experience duplicates that previously reported by Robbie. It's weird.

When I play the file "This is the video (audio cuts out around 19 seconds).mp4 in my players the result is:

MPC-HC - temp brief dropout at 21 secs then plays to 57 secs when cuts out completely to the end
VLC player - cuts out at 21 secs completely to the end
WMP - cuts out at 21 secs completely to the end
Films & TV player (comes with Win 10) - cuts out at 21 secs completely to the end

I then used "00 Zenith (140BPM) prod. by CollierSound.mp3" in a VMS17Plat project 25fps with Media Generator items exporting as mp4 and it appears perfect to my ears. No dropouts. So I dragged the "This is the video.......mp4" to the timeline and the waveform appeared right to the end. Comparing the waveform with the original mp3 I notice a few strange spikes such as at 2.04/26. Realising it's a 29.97 fps project I had altered my project to that. I then rendered out your mp4 using MAGIX AVC/AAC MP4 Internet HD 1080p29.97 fps and like Robbie the resulting mp4 rerender plays okay in my players with no dropouts.

Very puzzling. The only comment I can make is that I used MainConcept CPU processing, no GPU.

So then how would I go about duplicating those settings on VMS 15? I am not as experienced as you all are on VMS so please explain slowly if possible.

Use the similar template from the "MainConcept AVC/AAC" templates. But I don't think that's the problem.

There's something weird going on. As an experiment try using the audio from the "problem" mp4 file on your project timeline instead of the original mp3 file, and report back.

Yeah - spotted....

Track 3 is my export to WAV... no issue.

Just this audio file only or affecting other audio as well?

@EricLNZ So, I just made a video with the audio from the problem MP4 and the picture that i've been using. I used the MAGIC AVC/AAC 1080p 59.94fps template. I still had the same issues. I uploaded the result to the google drive link if you would like to see it.

@set I made 10 videos for my beats and 6 of them had a similar issue, but 4 of them were fine. I rendered the audio from FL Studio with all the same settings and did noting different.

EricLNZ wrote on 6/11/2020, 12:14 AM

@Randall-Collier Presumably "Zenith (with problem MP4 audio.mp4" is the file.

I downloaded it and it plays perfectly in MPC-HC, VLC Player and WMP. No problems at all. Importing the file into MVSPlat 16 it instantly formed the waveform to the end and played okay on timeline.

So if you are having problems playing your file it appears there is something strange happening on your system.

To check you could upload the file to YouTube and get others to try playing on their systems/gadgets.

@EricLNZ alright well thanks so much for taking the time to dig through this stuff for me. I really do appreciate it. I'll try exporting the videos with different settings maybe to see what I can come up with.

Thank you again

Take care!
