7/4/2012 for US people,
4/7/2012 for EU people

12/23/2012; the Mayans were right.

Kinda schizophrenic situation. Sooner would be better for those with immediate problems (already found/fixed by SCS), later would be better for those with problems that SCS is still busy fixing...

I thought that NAB would have been about one possible date - but nothing! Without knowing what to win in this contest I guess 21th of May (2012). As difficult is to guess the build number, but I guess 677/678 - since SCS have had time to compile quite many iterations since the last release ;)

There's nothing of substantial value to "win" in this pool, except for the congratulations of your fellow forumites in guessing the closest date.

I could offer the winner my first born, but besides being highly illegal and immoral, I wouldn't wish my horny, rebellious 17 year old son on anyone. Although he's a good lad, he does tend to put several new grey hairs on my head on a weekly basis.

Oh, and no inside bets accepted from SCS employees, unless of course they would like to share with us the actual release date of the next patch. ;-)

Hi,

Congrats would be more that enough, I never assumed anything else :) Also SCS deserves congratulations the day they iron out the most serious quirks, that are showstoppers for at least some of us. GPU rendering due to its complexity seems to be a nightmare for the developers...

Kinda know what you are talking, my eldest son is soon 17... Not that horny (yet).. He has now completely invaded my video editing rig and I have to use all tricks in my possession to get enough access myself, it has the fastest innards (of all 5 computers in the house) so it suits best his endless gaming needs ;) A girlfriend (or two) would help my editing... :)

Oh dear Christian you haven't kept abreast of the times.
Your son lives in a place with 5 PCs on a network, that is a definate "chick magnet" these days. You think you've got problems now, wait till he brings around a few of the fair sex for a 36 hour LAN party.

May 9. I have feeling in my bones that this will be a wickedly good release showcasing the consummate programming skills of the SCS team. It will be release 724 and you heard it first here. get ready to be impressed.

Downunder winter is upon us; I'm covering the pool until the warm weather returns!
Now, about those LAN parties.....

For selfish reasons, I'll go with "Patch Tuesday" as the Microsoft people call it, except I'll take the 1st Tuesday of the month: 5/1/2012. (Of course, I'm the one with the crazy picks in the 1st round of the March Madness pools.)

I too would prefer more frequent, and smaller patches.

Congrats to pat s for winning the pool, he was SO close, being just one day off.

And at the risk of sounding oh-so-corny, let's hope we're ALL winners with this new patch. Today may be known amongst the locals as "Patch Wednesday"!

Congrats Pat - one day off is not a bad guess - assuming you didn't have any inside info :)

Neither was my build guess 677/678 that bad - only 4 builds off, I need a honorable mention ;)

The main honour goes to SCS for releasing patches - keep them coming - albeit the list of patches is this time rather short. Some important issues are not mentioned. But I certainly will give this build a try as soon as I get it loaded.

Cheers,

Christian

@ Christian de Godzinsky - No inside info here! I'm a newcomer to the product and just a casual user with a serious hobby, as my wife puts it. I envy all you guys that do this for a living.

@Leee - Thanks for adding some fun in the mix!
