EX-1 footage preview with P4!

I just downloaded some raw EX-1 footage and stuck it on a blank Vegas 8 timeline on my P4 laptop. Wow! Not only does it look fantastic, but I barely have any dropped frames! I would say that it's about the same as 25mbps hdv footage CPU wise. I would have thought it would be a lot more demanding.

Perhaps it was shot at the HDV compatible EX1 setting.

No it was 1920 x 1080 x 25 fps (PAL). It was about the same as mpeg2 HDV though. I thought it would be a lot tougher on the CPU. My guess is that any of the new Intel Core2Duo laptops would handle this footage just fine. Heck, probably the Turions can as well!
