EX1 HD delivery in highest possible quality?

I started a new thread with this question so you may answer there if you do not want to digress. This is what I said:

Vegas 8b HD project shot on XDCAM EX.
Captured files converted with Cineform NEO-DH to .avi
Color space is sRGB
Rendering to HD mpg (using Wolfgang's settings detailed in this thread) to be played as data file on computer with Nero Showtime.

Problem: If I render without converting to cRGB result in Nero is washed out. If I convert to cRGB result in Nero is too dark with all shadow detail lost. What is going wrong?

"Wolfgang: You go a bit deeper into the menus than I do so let me ask you what changes to your recipe do you make to get an m2t file."

The key is, that you have to stay in "System" not with "program". But I have not tested that out by now really, the development of the templates was a special service for our thread-starter.

If you need here some support, I can try to test that for a transport stream too - and then we will see if it works.

Drawback at the moment is, that smartrendering does not work here.

For the mxf discussione - well, the questionmark will be, if the development team will extent the mfx output templates for full-HD in futur or not. We will see - I do not know that.

Exactly. Just because someone says they can handle 1920x1080 doesn't mean they've actually tried it. This is a new camera!

I'd just render to HDV and I'm sure they will be thrilled.

60 GB for uncompressed MOV sounds right. I did a 15 second 720P uncompressed MOV and it was 1.16 GB.

Just digging up and bumping this thread in order to ask the following question:

Is there any way to render 1920x1080 mfx or smart-render EX1 footage yet?

Nope. Hopefully 8c will bring a change.
