Excalibur Help...?

Hiyas,

Silly newbie question (most likely) - I've purchased Excalibur and am having trouble with the Sync Wizard. I'm following (I think) the instructions in the manual.

I've got a video and audio track J (Jason's Camera), vid and audio tracks M (Mike's Camera), and vid/audio R (Rear Camera).

I've dropped Js, Ms and Rs markers on the timeline, selected all 6 tracks (3 video + 3 audio) and run Excalibur. Selected Sync Wizard and OK ... but all I get is "Error: Object Required".

Google didn't find much, so I assume something is screwy-ish here. Other Excalibur functions seem to be working ok. Has anyone encountered this before, and can tell me what I've done? :)

Thanks

Jason

First of all, "M" is not a good camera name as it could conflict with the "M"aster track. Personally, I recommend "1", "2", and "3" for your camera names.

Next, you say you are selecting all of the tracks, Are you selecting the EVENTS on the tracks as well? You might try just pressing CTRL-A before running Sync Wizard.

Sorry ... terminology conflict :)

All the events (3 audio + 3 video) are being selected ... I've renamed the tracks to 1, 2 and 3 but still no-go.

Do the audio and video tracks have to have the same name or just the same first letter?

(Aside: everything else seems to be working - I just did a multicam edit with 1900-odd edits. Lovely, lovely tool! :))

The audio and video tracks for the same camera must begin with the same character. Only the FIRST character makes a difference. The markers MUST begin with the same character as the associated track and MUST be followed by an "s".

Sounds like you have done all of that correctly.

Then you simply press CTRL-A to select everything and Sync Wizard should work fine. If not, you need to send be the VEG file and let me know what version of Excalibur you are using.
