Export closed captioning for Youtube not working.

Hi, I'm editing my music video and Export closed captioning for Youtube script doesn't work. When I launch it, nothing happened. The srt file isn't saved in the folder I browsed. Here is the process what I've done:

1) Downloaded each caption.srt file from each music video from Youtube.
2) Imported the caption.srt files into Vegas Pro using Insert subtitles from files function. It automatically generates Subtitle track.
3) Edited and aligned the subtitles for each song in the timeline.
4) Scripting -> Export closed captioning for Youtube -> browsing the folder I want to save the file.
5) Literally, nothing happens. No file is generated.

Please let me know what I'm missing.

You are confusing two separate functions. Closed Captions and Subtitles are not the same thing. If you want to create a Closed Caption for Youtube, you need to create your texts as closed captions within Vegas, not subtitles.

Hi, DMT3. Thanks for the quick response. BTW, how do I convert the subtitles to closed captions? I've googled it, but no luck.

You import your SRT file as Closed Caption rather than subtitles. That function is FILE>IMPORT>CLOSED CAPTIONING.

Oh, no. I already edited the subtitles for 4 hours. Is there any other way to covert it?

There is a plugin called Vegasaur that will allow you to convert the Subtitles to Closed Captions and then you can export those. Other than that, I don't know of an easy way. It is not free.

Ah, I heard it. I need to think about it.
Thanks a lot!
