Exporting mp3 results in silence

Hi all

New issue...I'm exporting an session as an mp3 file, something I do weekly for a podcast, and now, I get 58 minutes of silence. If I select a portion of the audio, it exports fine. If I select the whole project and export, I get silence.

I've tried restarting Windows, I've even tried doing the edit again in a fresh session, still the problem.

If I export as wav, it's fine. Just have to convert to mp3 afterwards.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Neel

This https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/overwrite-mp3-is-an-empty-file--110071/#ca712254 may relate.

Are you overwriting an existing file? If so delete it first or use a different file name.

Well, the first creation of the file resulted in silence, that's for certain. If it didn't, there wouldn't be a need for an overwrite. But in any case, thanks, I will try to delete the first file before exporting next time.
