exporting presets

I need to format and reinstall Windows because my machine is having its thing where it craps out ever few months. My friend made me a whole buch of presets in various effects and such and I want to back them up. Also Rendering templates.. I know there is a manager for this in SoundForge, but is there a way to do this in Vegas?

P.S. I wish I could run a real operating system. :-(

If you are referring to your custom Video FX, you can save them and restore them in a veggie file.

Here's a brief tutorial on the concept:

As for the rendering templates, they appear to be stored in the registry. You may be able to save and restore them, but that is beyond my scope of experience.

EDIT/UPDATE:

Just noticed that my File Presets (for rendering) were hiding in my Video Factory directories. I cannot say at this point if they can be saved and restored, but it's a place to start looking.
