EXR files, how to import EXR files into vegas pro 14? Image sequence

I try importing it with the media feature top left, the exr files show up but it doesnt make an image sequence for me or give me the option to do so like with the rendered png files, the files just show up as blanked out files, anyone have any experience with this and can help me?
