(Extern) Monitor for VMS HDp 10

Hi,

I am using VMS HDp 10 on my i5 windows laptop and it is running nice and smooth with nearly all effects in real time. But it sometimes bothers me to work on the 14# screen.

Can anybody recommend a good monitor that I can plug on for video editing to have more space for the interface? It can be either as second monitor or as single monitor, right?

Does anybody have good experience with a certain brand, model and size/ resolution?

Regrads Rasmus

I have to do very critical editing of my music projects so I needed to go BIG also.

I use a Viewsonic 27" monitor which is full HDMI 1920x1080.
I've had many Viewsonics over the years with good reliability.
I went to Fry's and and it on sale for just over 200 bucks a year or so ago.

IMO....I think most brands will be of equal quality.

I predict you will love it.....carry on.

I'm surprised to hear there are any 14" monitors still in existence! ;)

Although maybe you're working on a laptop.

I personally love LG monitors. But check out http://www.newegg.com or Amazon. Any flat-screen monitor will give you excellent results. You'll want at least a 19" monitor (I use two on my desktop computer) -- although you may even be able to find a 22" or 23" for under $200 if you pick up a refurb (which are always great values).

Haha...."I'm surprised to hear there are any 14" monitors still in existence! ;)"

Given my aging eyes.....to me....a 14" monitor is more like the size of a watch crystal.

OP.....have fun with the new purchase.

Thanks for advice, I will try it out.

How do you benefit and put your tools when using two screens for VMS?

PS 14# is the lap top screen, not an old school monitor :)
