External Monitor Problem:Canopus ACEDVio

HI, I'm using a canopus ACEDVio capture card, but can't manage to get an external preview through the s-vhs port, although it should work due to the canopus DA-converter. Any ideas?

As I recall, I solved a similar problem by making sure the "Enable DV Device Control" option is checked under the "Capture Video" selection.

This is pretty non-intuitive as you are not capturing when viewing to the external monitor. Furthermore, because you're in analog, not DV mode, you won't have DV device control anyway.
