External Monitor using ATI all-in-wonder?

Hi,
My system has a ATI Radeon 9000 All-in-wonder card (good for analog capture BTW). I'm getting ready to color correct 8 hours of 8mm movies from the 50's to 70's. Thanks to the helpful posts on this forum I'm hopefully in a much better position to get it right by using an external monitor.

Is it possible to use the TV out feature of the ATI card to display the Preview Video istead of using the DV camera/Firewire method? What is the rationale for going through the camera? This seems like a kludge when many systems support dual independent displays. It looks like there is some alternative windows interface in the "video device" preferences.

TIA,
Tim

The only way you can preview through your TV Out is to use the "Preview In Player" option. Then, when Media Players plays, the radeon will fullscreen to the TV. Use SVHS for best quality.

I've done it this way before and it works quite well if you have a fast system to render with. :)
