External Monitor with DV500 BlueBox?

Does anyone know of any way to get the external monitor functionality working with the DV500 BlueBox?

I'd like to be able to use the composite out on the BOB with Vegas, but Vegas only supports Firewire and Video for Windows - I wonder if there is some kind of plug-in/driver to support the BlueBox via the Video for Windows option?

Maybe something like the Pinnacle Instant Video RT applet for Premiere?

Be real nice to be able to use the BlueBox with Vegas - I use Scenalyser for capture (works very nicely) but would love to get the external monitor happening.

It seems your asking if you can output video to a moniter as you do in premiere, no but you can output video from one of your firewire ports to a firewire device such as a dv camcorder then to the moniter. thats exactly how I do it.

I also have a DV500, unfortunately Stevengotts is correct. The DV500 is not fully VfW compatible, and SF recommends against using the VfW capabilities, since there are some limitations. So that leaves firewire out. As long as you are using the latest 4.5a Drivers for the DV500, the Firewireports will act as Standard OHCI ports, so that video can be output to TV via a DV Camcorder which supports 2-way passthrough.

Thanks guys. Kind of makes the DV500 a very expensive firewire card then :)

I guess once I've finished with my analog capture, I will sell the card and just use firewire.
