Extra memory does make a difference

Just a heads up on adding an extra 16 gb of memory to my laptop, specs in my profile.

In a post a good while back I said I’d update the thread when I got the extra memory, but it took so long to arrive that I'm unlikely to locate that post.

I used the Benchmarking project to test ...

Without the extra memory VP17 wouldn't render the Benchmarking 4K sample project on my laptop to UHD without giving an out of memory message, even with dynamic ram preview set to zero.

With the extra memory added it now completes the render, but dynamic ram preview still needs to be set to zero. So a definite improvement.

VP16 doesn’t need dynamic ram preview set to zero.

One of the reasons why I went 32GB on my desktop. 16GB was barely enough for short but slightly complex projects.

Indeed @Reyfox It definitely helps, especially with VP17.
