Extracting video from existing DVD

O.K. I already hear the experts groan, but is there a way to get video back into Vegas from a previously burned DVD? I read the the manual back and forth and while there is a good chance that I am just too dense to find the pertaining topic, I would appreciate if somebody could point me in the right direction.

DVD Decrypter can extract the audio and video elementary streams.

Then, if you take the elementary streams into a DVD package like Adobe Encore, you can redo the entire DVD "packaging" with no quality loss.

Works great and can be a real life saver...

Sony DVD Architect does not handle elementary streams, however.

This has been answered dozens of times. Do a search on "VOB" for more info.

Short answer: Put the VOB directly on the Vegas timeline, and extract the audio channel you want using DVD2AVI (re-encode the audio to WAV).
