Extras?

Which programs that come with Vegas are demos? I installed the 4.0e update instead of installing from the CD. After reading somewhere that music samples came with the CD, which were not installed from the 4.0e update, I took a look inside the CD. There is a folder called "extras". Sample projects were in there along with programs such as "Acid", "Batch converter", "CD and DVD architect", "Noise reduction", and "sdml." Are these programs all Demos? I installed two of them and was asked for serial numbers. Does the CD automatically install the full versions of any of these programs if any. If so, which ones should I install. I do not want to bother installing demos and then have to uninstall. Also, should the sample projects and wave files be in a specific folder? Thank you.

All are Demos except the Batch Converter. That is the full product. You might want to install that from the CD and then update it from the web site. The batch converter is useful when you need to convert a bunch of files to a different format or to apply audio processing to a bunch of files.

Demos. All demos (except what JohnnyRoy said). Thusly it is in the 'extras' folder. Same demos you can download from their site.

Put samples files anywhere that makes you happy.

Also note that the demo versions are really the full versions running in demo mode. If you should choose to purchase licenses for any of them, you can enter that serial number into the demo version and register it and you'll have the full version without installing anything else.
