Fade Help

Hi, is there a way to make a certain type of audio fade appear when grabbing the edge of the audio file? I always get the default which is a curve and I would like to set it to linear.

Right click in the fade and you can select from a multitude of fade envelopes.

Thank you, but is there a way to make the new type that is selected the default type, so it doesn't have to be selected everytime?

I take it that Vegas can not change the default type for audio fades...

There is a "CurveTypeLinear" script? Yes I know it isn't a default CHANGE option. But doing Select ALL and then running the script set ALL the AUDIO Events with a LINEAR fade option.

Seems that I remember way back VV3 you could, I just looked thru the internal settings of VV7 but didn't see any thing there. Does anyone have VV3 installed on a old machine some where ... in the garage, basement, the computer you gave your grandma ...
