Fade in titles progressively from top to bottom

Is it possible to have titles fade in over background progressively from top to bottom so that you see more & more of title as time progresses?

Cover it with a gradient colour (black) on the track above and fade that one out.

Sorry, that will cover the video underneath as well. You'll have to use composoting.

Tried it. make the colour gradient the track between the text and the video. Make it a compos. child. Use keyframes to start with all black (on the colour gradient) then at the end of the interval, make it all white.
