Fade multiple events simultaneously

I think I have seen this somewhere but for the life of me I can't recall where, or how to do it. Suppose I have multiple events (video or audio) on parallel tracks. I want to fade all simultaneously so they all start and end the fade at the same time. I know I could just put fade each one individually, but it bugs me that there may be a better way. Anyone?

For video, what I usually do is add one more video track. I put a generated black event for the length of the fade that I want and put a fade on it. It then covers all of the other tracks for a fade to black or fade up from black.

View - Video Bus Tracks. Now right click in the track header and select Insert/Remove Envelope - Fade to Color.
Double click the line to add a point at the beginning of the fade and another at the end. Drag this second point to the bottom.
Thanks to Spot for letting me know about this one.

You can also do the FADE TO COLOR envelope on another video track. This way you can fade everything below a track and keep everything above.

Mike and Dave, you guys rock. The Fade to Color envelope on another video track is what I was trying to remember.
