Fade Types

Does anyone know how to set the default in VP 8 for envelopes, motion and fades to Linear? I find the "Smooth" shape almost totally useless, and end up spending a lot of time changing them.

The Editing tab on Preferences has a feature that supposedly lets you set the default for "Interpolation and Envelopes," but changing the setting just doesn't work.

The setting works fine for me. It changes envelope key frames not fades. There is no way to change the default fade.

My envelopes and fades are all smooth - the way I want them. However, keyframes for motion are all linear but I want them to be smooth, too.

They always revert to linear, so a solution would be very welcome!

It seems to me they used to default to linear in earlier versions of Vegas. What version are you using?

I'm using Vegas 8 Pro.

I'm sure they used to be set to smooth, but I could be wrong...
