Fading From Track 1 to 2

Let me first thank everyone in advance. My last questions were answered right away! You guys really have a great community here with Vegas...

Anyways...

I have video going on track one, and I want to crossfade to something on track 2. I've been using the auto crossfades for the video that is all on the same track, but how do I add the crossfade to go between video tracks?

Which leads me to another question...

I have one clip I want to fade to black at the end...seems easy enough...but when I add the envelope to do it, it adds the envelope to the entire track, not just my clip...is there a way to add the fade the black just to my 10 second clip?

OT (sorta)...The video Im doing is my wedding video...I had like 6 friends tape the wedding with a variety of handheld and tripoded dv cameras, and now I am slowly assembling it all! Coming out very nice!

To answer all your fade questions at once... :)

On the left/right end of the video clips (or audio, pic, etc) you will see a little triangle in the upper left/right (depending on the end you are looking at). Moive you mouse pointer over it and you will see the pointer change to a 1/4 pie shape. That's the fade tool! :) Just hold down the left mouse button and drag left/right. It will fade in/out (left side is in, right is out).

On the edge of the clip near the top your mouse pointer will turn to a right angle sorta looking thingy.

Drag from the edge of the clip towards the center of the clip for about one second and you will have fade to black or fade from black depending which side of the clip you are on. This may also satisfy you for your multitrack crosfade.
