First off i have both codecs installed.
Video plays fine in windows media player, i can open it in windows movie maker.
I open it with video inspector and it says i have all the codecs needed for it.
I open it in Sony vegas movie studio 6.0, audio shows up and still no video.
I have unchecked the box that disables third party codecs.
In the past i have had Divix files that opened up fine in sony vegas movie studio, they no longer show up now.
video specs:
video: XviD MPEG-4 Codec
Audio: MPEG 1 or 2 Audio layer 3(MP3)
Interesting note when i open internet explorer it says
Filters And Codecs Requiring Runtime Licensing
The filters and codecs listed on this page require runtime licenses. You may not deploy or distribute your end user application with any of these filters or codecs unless you first enter into a duplication and distribution agreement. Evaluation versions of these filters and codecs are included with the LEADTOOLS Multimedia setup and will generate an evaluation notice when used and/or will expire after a period of time.
Was wondering if maybe that had anything to do with it?
I have also downloaded trial versions of SVMS 8.0 and 8.0b and still no luck in opening the file.
Funny how a free program like Windows movie maker can open the file, but Sonys cannot.
I have tried multiple files, ones that used to work that i still have on my computer.
