failed to create directory

Upon trying to open my Vegas movie studio software today I get the messages,
C:\Program files (x86)\ Boris FX,inc\ (failed to create directory)
C:\Program files (x86)\ Boris FX,inc\ BCC Presets 8 OFX\
C:\Program files (x86)\ Boris FX,inc\ BCC Presets 8 OFX\ BCC Alpha ProcessError reading preset file - unable to find folder

I have re-installed vegas and still get the messages. Any ideas as to why this is happening? I use Vegas almost on a daily basis and nothing has changed that I can think of.

Are you working on a 32 bit or 64 bit operating system? And which version of the program are you using?

Boris effects are third-party effects and transitions and are not part of the program's installation. Have you ensured that you've actually got the Boris effects in the directories the program is linking to?
