No. We need more details, and maybe even screenshots of how your timeline looks like and how you export.

I made up a video on the software, it plays fine in the sony software window, video, main sound track and the music and text i added

when i try to render, using any format, i get a partial end product, never includes all the data i built into the project

do i need to do something to mark the beginning and end of the project before renedering? do i highlight the project before rendering?

is there a step by step procedure telling me how to render/save a project? i want to have it on my hard drive and to turn it into a dvd for use on a pc, possibly on a tv/

any ideas?

thanks

steve

Do you have a loop selection on the timeline? It would look like a thin blue bar running across the top with a little yellow triangle at each end. If so, when rendering, you may have the option to "render loop region only" checked. Uncheck this and it should render the entire project.

I have the yellow loop markers, but i tried to render without the loop box checked, i got the video, but no the original sound or the music i added

i tend to get a small file with poart of the video and another that i cannot open/play

files that appear are 300-440 mb, the master video is 2gb, before the added sound and text...

any other ideas?

thanks

Tell us step by step, keypress by keypress, mouse click by mouse click, exactly what you are doing when you render.

i was going file, render, picked a format and file name and then started it, took a very long time in most cases, quick when i only got opening text page

am trying now with the make a movie button

We need to know things like which format you picked, which template of that format, did you chose any custom options ... and so on. Give us details until your fingers fall off from typing. ;) Otherwise we won't know what you are doing so we won't be able to tell you where the process is going wrong.
