FAO Vegas Devs, rendering using PS3 cell

I came across a H.264 codec that uses the PS3 cell to render H.264 files.

Thought this concept might be of use to Vegas Devs for future versions of Vegas as a way of speeding up the rendering process in Vegas using off the shelf (and cheep) hardware.

Looks very useful except that the license says "Personal use only, Commercial use is not possible" and the maximum bit rate is 15Mbps. The license is $199 and version updates are $99 year. I'd probably go for it if not for those two restrictions.

However, it is promising that they figured out a way to serve up video data via gigabit Ethernet for processing on the PS3.
