I just upgraded from windows 98 2nd edition to windows xp .I thought this would change the fat32 to the other files without any capture limitations.I'm just wondering is it safe to try and change .Thanks for all the help past and future.

If you haven't repartitioned your drive then it's still formatted for FAT32. You can run the "drive converter" in system tools to convert it to NTSC. This operation seems to be very safe; i've done it dozens of times without losing a single byte. However, the usual precautions of "use are your own risk, back up important files first!" certainly applies.
Ahh, right; i keep forgetting that it's moved and different in XP. Go to Start -> Help, and type in "fat32 ntfs" in the search box. Click on the Convert article for full instructions. You might want to print them out since you'll have to do the conversion from a DOS prompt.
