FBmn Software & VP12

diverG wrote on 12/20/2012, 4:01 AM
Just completed a clean install of W7 and VP12. Have loaded two FBmn plugins.

SetupFBmnSoftwareExposureGPU.exe

SetupFBmnSoftwareWhiteBalanceGPU-3.2.exe.

Last used these with VP11. FBmn website claims them to work with VP12 so assume they are 64bit compatible. Activated both plugins using the old activation info but neither work.

Raised this query with FBmn but not had a reply.

+1 for the FB White Balance and Exposure Fix in Vegas 12. Works great!

I bought the FB White Balance GPU and it's become my "go to" plug-in for almost all color correction. I liked the Exposure Fix plug-in but 1) I didn't need it as much, and 2) it wasn't in the budget.

On a side note, why isn't FB on the Sony Partners pages? These are awesome plug-ings. Maybe the parties have not reached agreement on their partner relationship. Oh well, love my White Balance.

Regards,

Kimberly

Agree fully - and also FBmn's really great Color-match plug-in.

Problem solved.
I needed to goto FBmn website and enter serial, contact info and 'magic number'.
In return I received an activation code. Once enter in activation field all was well.

From a previous activation I had saved the activation code which matched exactly the new one recieved. It must be 12 months since I last used these plugins and the FBmn activation system needed prodding.

Thanks for advising your plugins are working.

@ Kimberly Those new lights of yours are awesome. Wish I could justify a set. Just turned 75 so my diving days may be numbered. Dive insurance is ridiculas. I can be 69 and learning to dive. Dive insurance no problem. 75 and several thousand dives logged and cycling 50 miles week in & week out and it suddenly diving becomes a dangerous sport. Maybe I should consider changeing from marine safaris to game reserves.

@diverG - What sort of insurance are you referring to? DAN?

Nah your diving days are far from over! Are you talking about DAN insurance being too expensive? I don't recall DAN having an age range, but maybe they too. My V&B instructor insurance runs about $600 annually . . . now that's another matter : (

diverG, I changed from DAN to Aqua Med, mainly because they are cheaper and I'm not diving much at the moment. Maybe their terms suit you better.

Had a bit of luck.
If I book & pay for trips using my credit card I get free travel insurance. It seems I must contact the insurer each year and self certify that I am fit to dive. Recreational only and a 30m limit, which these days is more than adequate. When I can't mange an hour on a 12l tank and have 50bar plus left I'll call it a day.

I've used DAN in the past when I took did 6 month trip to the Red Sea after retiring.
Your $600 will cover your liabilty to pupils, and there are some dumb ones around!!
We all look at the instructors and think what a grand life!! To me it looked like hard work.

Good luck & have a great Christmas.

Geoff

Full marks to all three of Frederic's plug ins. They are exceptional and I'm not sure how I would manage without them. They were amazingly useful when I had to edit some old cine-film and VHS tape that had already been converted to digital but still needed a great deal of attention, not least in the colour matching field.

@diverG:

Make sure you have DAN or some kind of coverage for a chamber ride, in the unlikely event you need it. I've seen people go to the chamber; fortunately each had DAN to help cover it. So what are you waiting for? Book a drive trip : )

Back in 1977, I did a show on Grey Reef shark attack behavior at Enewetak in the Marshall Is. I had the host of our show, Marlin Perkins, 100' down at age 72 with lots of Grey Reef sharks around. We acted in a very respectful manner toward the sharks, and I was pretty respectful of Marlin as well. The most exciting part was getting back in the boat. Someone had left a couple of dead fish in the motor well and we had more than a little interest from the "men in the grey suits.".

Now that I have turned 77, I'd love to return to many dive sites, but maybe not that one.

Thank you so much dear customers for the nice things you say about FBmn Software!

diverG, I have answered your question by email, it looks like the issue, related to license activation, is now fixed.

Best regards,
Frederic - FBmn Software
