Feather on Multiple Bezier Masking?

Grazie wrote on 9/8/2008, 10:27 PM
I have 9 Hexagons within a plain, turquoise 16x9 graphic. Nothing else.

All Hexagons are separate from each other and with space around them.

I have applied Bezier masking to each Hexagon, in a sequence roughly 1 to 2 seconds apart.

Easy. And this ALL works beautifully.

But, wanting to have a slight feather on each one I have applied a "Both" and a value of 2.5.

These 9 Hexagons are spaced from left to right in a neat mosaic-type pattern. But I am ONLY seeing the Feather appear and remain on the farthest left 2 hexagons and on the farthest right Hexagon. All those hexagons in-between momentarily DO get a feather then it is gone when the process moves-on to the next Hexagon.

And yes, I have HOLD on each Bezier keyframe as they progress across the screen.

Please check this for me before I send this to our chums at Madison.

If you're trying to do this the way I think you're trying to do it then you could well hit problems. Having a Bezier sequence on and off could really confuse things as these are keyframable. I'd suggest splitting the events or using multiple tracks to avoid confusing Vegas.

Of course I could have this completely wrong as I don't know for certain how you're implementing it. I have done lots of Beziers in the one event without problem even with feathers and drop shadows sequenced however they are fixed for the length of the event, the event length controls the sequencing.

Probably need to Skype this one.

Well, I've achieved it.

I now have Feather-ing on all the BMs.

Issue 1 - I can't apply Feather Globally

Issue 2 - I can't apply Feather by ONLY clicking on the Keyframe. I have to apply the feather to the highlighted PATH. It is the ONLY way I can make Feather "stick".

Issue 3 - Not only can I NOT apply Feather by ONLY clicking on the Keyframe and needing to apply the feather to the highlighted PATH, I ALSO need to apply this to all the iterations/occasions OF each and every BM.

In these respects multiple-BMs are behaving like our original Text editor.

I can't imagine ANYBODY is interested, but I thought you should know . . If you repeat this and find I am incorrect, I'll be the first to admit it.

Grazie, sorry, I saw your post last night and forgot to post a response to your problem. Glad you figured it out. Would be kinda neat to apply globally, but alas we are tied down to individual path settings.
