feature request from a plugin developer

Hi,

I'm the author of WinMorph, currently available as a plugin for VV3. The Vegas plugin SDK tells that Vegas does automatic keyframing of plugin properties, whenever the plugin property page calls "Apply()" method. My plugin does not support keyframes, and i would like to have an option in the plugin flags which can tell Vegas not to do any keyframing for the plugin properties (i.e. to maintain a single properties structure for this plugin).

Also, as a few users noted before, the ability to read timeline video data from a plugin would be very useful. Without such a feature, many plugins cannot be adapted for VV (Premiere has that feature, i hope VV implements it soon too.).

Thanks
Satish

I second Satish when he says the ability to read timeline video data from a plugin would be very useful. I'm trying to make WinMorph work on my system and I can tell you it's tedious, very tedious (for me, at least) just because of that...
More important if Sonic Foundry wants to leave at least a chance to developpers other than Pixelan to come with more and more video effects/transitions.
... open up!!! WinMorph is a VERY GOOD example of an effect that's going to interest a LOT of people... not just a "venitian blind" or "image flip" effect we've been seeing on K-Tel TV adds for decades now...

I have automated the current tedious process of video caching, and tested - it works fine with VV3.0c. It greately reduces user pain, without any support from SoFo for giving access video data... but i have not tested with other VV versions. If anyone using other than VV3.0c is interested to try it out before i can release the next update, please contact me via email at tid1000@debugmode.com

Thanks
