Feature Request: Multicamera: Switch 1 second before current frame

Dear VEGAS Team.
I could not find a feature request thread on here, so I will just post this:
I would LOVE a feature, where I can assign a button in Multicamera editing mode to switch 1 second back in time.

Example: I'm playing through a Live event. Suddenly my chosen camera gets out of focus, I stop at frame 1000 lets say. Now I have to stop, rewind to frame 975 and then switch to another camera on that frame that's in focus. With my proposed feature, I could just press another key on frame 1000 when I see the camera going out of focus, and my cut will be before the focus is lost, at frame 975, saving me a huge amount of time and work.
(since this happens every couple minutes)

Any chance of implementing this, guys?

Thanks for some great work on V15!

If you mean just the cursor should move 1 second to the left: There is a script available (I think since a decade) which does exactly this. Give me a minute …

-> Here you are. Download and unzip the file then move "SetCursor1SecLeft.js" into the Vegas Pro script menu folder.

You can then either customize your Vegas Pro toolbar to have this function available by mouse click or customize the keyboard to have it available via a keystroke (and of course you can access it via the "Extras/Scripting" menu).

This script is based on a script Ed wrote 2003.

thanks marco! Will check it out. :)

What the script would need to do is:

1. go 1sec to the left

2. switch to my chosen camera angle

3. go 1sec to the right again

4. resume playback

We'll see if it can be customized that way. It is still a workaround though and will interrupt a smooth multicamera workflow, which should be seamless and without interruptions. :)

Until then, I'll try to just press a key for the script before I change cameras. :)

The given one only moves the cursor back 1 second. Maybe someone else could modify the script further.

tried it just now, it is a big step in the right direction! added the play command at the end ( Vegas.Transport.Play() ), just the small interruption is still a bit annoying, but still great help, thanks again.
